Course Details

The hazard management course has been developed in conjunction with WorkCover Corporation to provide managers and supervisors with the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to effectively manage hazards in the workplace.

Throughout the course, interactive workplace simulations and animations develop and reinforce the participants understanding of the hazard management process.

Learning Outcomes

• Describe the hazard management process
• Assist in the planning and implementation of hazard management systems
• Use a risk assessment tool to prioritise risks
• Describe and employ the hierarchy of control for managing workplace hazards and risks
• Identify the legal obligations for each workplace role (employee, supervisor & employer) under Health and Safety legislation
